You may have heard the story in Acts 5 about Ananias and his wife, Sapphira. This is not that story.
But I do have a Sapphira in my book. And she is named for the city she was rescued from from: Sepphoris.
Mine is the (fictional) story of a girl who witnesses a traumatic event in her early childhood that leaves her scarred physically and emotionally. ‘Phira, as she is called, is mute by choice, reticent by nature, and although Martha’s mother has healed her burns, it seems only time will heal the rest of her.
